Genevieve Ann Francisco Anderson, 85, died on May 10, 2014 at St. Vincent HealthCare Center in Billings, MT of complications from heart surgery. Genevieve was born to David and Mabel Francisco on April 19, 1929 in Judith Gap, MT. She married Oscar T. Anderson on June 19, 1946 in White Sulphur Springs, MT. They raised nine children on a farm/ranch east of Stanford, MT until 1979 when they moved to Lewistown, MT. They returned to the ranch in 1987 and remained there until 1998 when they moved to the manor in Stanford. She lived in Billings with her daughter, Mary, for the last 13 years. Genevieve was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and nine brothers and sisters. She is survived by her children, Ron (Eva) Anderson of Billings, David Anderson of Great Falls, MT, Swede (Carol) Anderson of Missoula, MT, Connie (Tom) Griffith of Salt Lake City, UT, Mabel (David) Hill of Stanford, Edna Anderson of Seattle, WA, Mary Anderson of Billings, Barbara (Greg) Clement of Great Falls and Anna (Slim) Altmann of Proserpine, Australia; 15 grandchildren and 16+1 great-grandchildren; a sister, Peg (Musa) Baxter of Billings; and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and private family services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made in Genevieve's name to the Montana Food Bank, 5625 Expressway, Missoula, MT 59808. Genevieve loved children and was never too busy for any child. If you did not know Genevieve's opinion, you were not listening.

Gen was a great neighbor & friend to many. My mom always considered Gen one of her true friends. I have many memories from haircuts in her kitchen to staying overnight & playing in the porch playroom. My recipe file still includes many of her recipes, my favorite being her chocolate caramels. Sage creek has lost another family member. My thoughts & prayers are with all of you. Mary you did so much to care for your mom, you learned from one of the best. Ann Deegan

Gen was a second mother to myself and many other children. I learned a lot from spending time in her home as a child. I loved my blue velvet dress she sewed for me. Playing cards, branding, making mints for weddings, polishing wood, and many more memories of the Anderson household to place in one little post. Love to all her children and grandchildren. Gen and Oscar took care of our Michael for a time when we all lived in Lewistown. They were such a help to us and took such loving care of our son. Gen and my mother were great friends too. I remember back to the times when my brothers and I were going to school in Stanford, and all the Anderson kids and what a great family they had.
