Marc Sandoval

Marc Sandoval Marc Kristopher Sandoval, 31, of Billings passed away February 19, 2014. He was born September 7, 1982 in Denver, CO, the son of Sam and Kathy Sandoval. Marc's greatest love was for his family and he loved being a Sandoval. He would often say “I'm Marc Sandoval and I can do it.” That was his foundation and sense of identity. He had a big heart and was not afraid to share it. He was proud of his roots and every one of his family members, and wasn't shy about letting people know it. Marc was an amazing people person. He touched so many lives with his smile and his easy way of talking. He had the ability to draw others out and into conversation with his joy of listening and sharing. When he asked “How are you doing?” he meant it and expected an answer beyond “Fine, how are you?” He was a person truly involved in the lives of others, their cares and concerns, joys and triumphs, and he was always ready to help anyone in need. Marc had many friends from his childhood in Livingston and gained many more after his move to Billings. He had a great love and gratitude for his friendships, and many of those friends became his brothers and sisters. He was proud to be considered family by everyone he touched. Marc's life was dedicated to his job as Chef and Kitchen Manager at the Billings Montana Rib and Chop House. He loved the fact that his position allowed him to train, manage and motivate his employees. He always strove to bring out the best in every one, and inspire them with his examples of dedication, hardwork and team building. ELE (everybody love everybody) was his kitchen motto. Marc built strong ties in the hearts of so many people and those ties will remain unbroken, and remembered even when his presence on earth will be so painfully missed. Marc is survived by his parents, Sam and Kathy Sandoval; sister Tina (Jim) Rabel, brother Rory (Leticia “Tish”) Sandoval, sister Paula (Philip) Goffena, brother Dana (Liz) Sandoval; nephews Brandon, Samson, Adam, Dylan, Lucas, Tucker; nieces Lily and Violet; and many other extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ted Sandoval and his grandmothers, Phyllis Billings and Helen Cox. Wake service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 23 at Rib and Chop House in Billings.
