Ralph Stewart,

Ralph E. Stewart Jr., 84, of Billings, passed away Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013 at St. Vincent Healthcare as a result of complications from heart surgery. Ralph was born on Oct. 11, 1929 in Laramie, WY, the son of Ralph E. Sr. and Jeannette (Richardson) Stewart. He graduated from Lovell High School in 1948 and moved with his family to Billings, MT where he met and married Jo Anne Robinson. They were married for 53 years until her passing in 2004. Ralph was inducted into the Army in 1951 and served in the Korean War. Following his discharge from the Army, the Stewart family, now including three children, moved to Laramie, WY where Ralph attended the University of Wyoming. The family lived in Lovell, WY, Denver, CO and Billings, MT. Ralph spent his working life in the brick industry, first as a brick mason and then in manufacturing and sales. Upon his father's retirement, Ralph took over the management of the Lovell Clay Products Co. He also worked for brick companies in Denver, CO and Corona, CA. Ralph enjoyed snow skiing, golf, flying single-engine planes, camping with his family, fishing in his boat, gardening , the New York Yankees and the Denver Broncos. Ralph married Millicent Happ in June of 2011. He is survived by his wife, Millicent; sisters, Sharlene McComas and Jocelyn (Tom) Cartwright; children, Deb (Galen) Hronek, Linda (Ron Sr.) White and Rich (Cindy) Stewart; grandchildren Heather, Ron Jr., Matt, Melissa, Jody, Natalie, Ashley and Stephanie; and 10 great grandchildren. Service: The legacy Ralph leaves behind are his many good friends and loving family. A celebration of Ralph's life will be held when spring breaks in the Beartooth Range of the Rocky Mountains.
