Henry Cyril Lyn “Mickey” Rides Horse III “Baada Kawledash” (Does Everything Well) passed from this life on to the next on December 2, 2011. His Indian name was given by his namesake, Calvin “Mickey” Round Face, thus affectionately nicknamed “Mickey Mouse”. He was born May 2, 1974 in Billings, MT to Mary Rose Plain Bull and Henry Rides Horse Jr. He was the second eldest grandchild and following the Crow tradition, he was raised a beloved grandchild by his maternal grandparents, Cyril and Arvilla Plain Bull. He played traditional hand games and threw arrows when he was young. On his first traditional dance, he was taken on to the floor with his grandfather Jerome White Hip. Mickey attended St. Charles Grade School and Plenty Coups High School and also attended Northwest Community College in Powell, WY. He played basketball while in high school and was a gifted runner. He was also a talented artist who enjoyed drawing. Another hobby of Mickeys was raising quality quarter horses, a trait instilled in him by his grandfather and family. He was fluent in the Crow language and traditions. Mickey liked teasing his co-workers, friends and family; especially his sister-in-laws. He enjoyed being social with friends and family and you could often find him on Facebook poking fun at friends or catching up on the latest news. He had been working at St. Charles Schools as a Janitor and maintenance man dedicated and hard working, rarely missing a day. He also worked for AML, CarQuest, IHS and the Crow Tribe. Mickey will be remembered as a loving father, husband, brother and son always protecting and supporting his family. He always doted on his nieces and nephews. He was always driving around with Ervin, teaching him how to hunt and teaching his children the facts of life. Mickey loved his children and always spoke of their many achievements to his family and friends. Mickey enjoyed family get-togethers, birthdays and holiday gatherings. He was always encouraging and expressed his love and gratitude to his family. Mickey will always be loved and forever in our hearts. You will never be forgotten. He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Rose, and grandfather, Cyril Plain Bull. Mickey is survived by his wife, Tonia and children, Ervin, Aaliyah, Cyrilla, Rebecca and Noah, his father Henry (Laura) Rides Horse Jr and his grandmother, Arvilla Plain Bull. Aunts: Terry Jean Plain Bull and adoptive Aunt, Donna St. Pierre. Uncles: Larry C., Gerry and Jerry Allen and adoptive Uncle, Ray Roubideaux. Brothers: Scott, Elias, Frederick T., Mike, Leo, Jasper, Buster and Gary George, Terry Gilbert, Willie Plain Bull, and Chey White Clay, Deon and JK Bell Rock, Allen (Jean) Plain Bull, Junior Bear, Les Not Afraid and adoptive Brothers, Arlo Stone, Kolan Good Luck, Josh Hugs and John Turns Plenty. Sisters: Stephanie, Bethany, Rosanna, Tanya, Victoria and Mercedee Plain Bull, Quinlyn and Emeri Little Owl, Melanie DeCrane, Tina Hendricks, Noriah Pretty On Top, Diane Lieder, Sunshine, Melanie, Marlenee and Annie Big Day, Rita Bell Rock, Jennifer, Devonna and Nicole Lambert and Adopted Sisters Deandra Stone, Christy Costa and Pam and Gail Bird Hat. Nephews: Stephano, Cody, Baby George, Caleb and Donovan.
