Obituary
Al Liedle passed away on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011, surrounded by his loving family. Al was born on June 9, 1932 in Helena, MT, the eldest son of Herbert and Florence Liedle. Al graduated from Helena High School in 1950 and went on to serve his country with the U.S. Marine Corp on the USS Princeton during the Korean War. He began his working career at Addressograph-Multigraph as a service technician followed by 24 years as a salesman for Western Paper Co. He married his loving wife, Tivola, in 1954 at Havre, MT. They had three children: Doug, Debbie and Denyce. Al enjoyed the outdoors with many fishing trips on the Boulder River and hunting trips. He was an avid fan supporting the many activities of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. One of Al's favorite passions was buying “Ford” vehicles and always keeping them in immaculate condition. He loved telling jokes and liked to tease. Al is survived by his wife, Tivola of 57 years; children Doug (Debbie) Liedle, Debbie (Greg) Peterson and Denyce (Bob) Fry; grandchildren Darci (Jason) Smith, Dani (Nick) Prinzing, Dillen Liedle, Andrew Peterson, Allyson Peterson, Ryan (Peggy) Lawson, Jerad (Flyssa) Lawson and Kinsey Lawson; great grandchildren Taylor and Carter Smith, Payne and Lex Prinzing, Kadence and Kahlen Liedle, Tehya and Trey Lawson, Alayna and Chase Lawson. Al is also survived by his special companion, Ceara, many nieces and nephews, an aunt and numerous friends. We thank the wonderful staff at Eagle Cliff Manor for their caring and compassionate support of Al. The family would also like to extend gratitude for exceptional care provided by Dr. Lisa Bland, Dr. Steven Fischer and Dr. Larry Severa. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters and brother-in-laws. Cemetery: A private family internment of ashes will take place in Mountview Columbarium. Service: Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 17, at Dahl Funeral Chapel with a luncheon to follow.

We were saddened to hear of the passing of Al. I remember Al fondly from his days as a Western guy, coming to the Sidney Herald, working on equipment or taking an order for film, plates, etc. I also remember him from Press Conventions, Herald parties and hunting parties with Virgil in Sidney. Mr. Kim lived on Terry in Billings and knew Al (and his daughters), but got reacquainted with him at Elk River Printing (my brother Kevin's shop) in Sidney. THen, when we purchased our own Multi shop in Ronan, Al was our go-to guy. Al contributed greatly to the success of our business (and family) and we will always be grateful and remember him fondly. They broke the mold... Our sincere sympathy to Tivola, (whom my mother always spoke highly of)and the rest of the family. We will miss him. He made a difference. Kims

I just wanna say that the great in front of great grandpa was there for a reason!!!! you were a great person and hunter! you must be on a roll helping us kids shoot the animals,,,,, I miss you so much and will never forget you!!!ever!!!! I love you soooooooo much and regret not being one of the people to actually spread your ashes!!!! iy was too painful.. I hope that you can now go swimmin with the bo-legged women because you might have a freckle on your butt cheeck ot you can shake the hand of ol johnny sullivan!!!!! you will always be in my heart!!!

I was the oldest great grandchild so I remember him the most out of the great grandchildren... he was the peson that finished my vocabulary. i said my first cuss word right in front of his house!:) I miss al sooo much!!!!!! he was the one that made my heart complete without him I would have never become a hunter, in fact my first hunting trip was with Al and my dad.I wish sooo much that he was still here today because I wouldnt be the person I am without him....
