Evelyn Niedzwiecki

Evelyn Niedzwiecki, 87, went home to be with our Lord on Sunday, May 29, 2011. She was surrounded by her daughter and son-in-law, Toni and Chris Stone, and granddaughters Tiffeny and Alyssa Kline, leaving this life peacefully in her sleep. Evelyn will be remembered most as being the essence of strength and guidance for her family. Evelyn was married in 1942 to Anthony (Tony) Niedzwiecki, in Munising MI. They moved to San Diego, CA to work in the defense plants during WW II. After the death of Evelyns parents they moved back to Milwaukee, WI in 1947 where they finished raising her younger brother and two sisters. In January of 1965 they adopted their daughter, Toni Ann, the love of their life. The three moved to Billings, MT in 1972, to Laurel in 1981 and back to Billings in 1991. Evelyns husband of nearly 53 years passed away in 1995. She was a devoted wife and mother, and a beacon of light to her granddaughters, and anyone else who was blessed by knowing her. She enjoyed camping, having coffee and visiting, crosswords, being a foster grandmother, and most of all her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed and forever loved. She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Angeline Gersch; husband, Tony; brother, Michael Gersch; two beloved brothers-in-law; and her great-grandson, Ryeli Kline. Evelyn is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Toni and Chris Stone; granddaughters, Tiffeny and Alyssa Kline; sisters, Virginia Suchorski and Margaret Shulfer; sister-in-law, Pat Gersch; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends. Cemetery: Committal will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Service: Christian vigil service will be 7 p.m. Thursday, June 2 at Dahl Funeral Chapel. Funeral Mass will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, June 3 at Little Flower Catholic Church, Billings, MT.
