Dennis Eugene Blurton

Dennis Blurton, 70, died peacefully Tuesday, July 13, at his home near Shepherd, MT. Born May 25, 1940 in Bakersfield, CA, he was the son of Jess and Irene (Hensley) Black. Denny spent most of his life in Long Beach, CA and Billings, MT, having worked for the Kimberly-Clark Corporation for 38 years.Denny was united in marriage to Nelma Muskgrove. They enjoyed their life hunting, fishing, antique collecting, shooting, archaeology and exploring ancient cultures. He was well read and poured through western novels and historical fiction. He played guitar and sang, entertaining family and friends for hours at a time with his music and deep, rich voice. Dennys most cherished moments were spent surrounded by family and friends in the warm embrace of his log home on his property near Shepherd. In 2001 Dennis was preceded in death by his beloved wife Nelma.He is survived by his father, Robert Blurton of Boise, ID; his daughter, Teri Palmer of Maui, HI; his son, David Blurton, of Neenah, WI; his step-sons Marshall and Dane Gooch of Seattle, WA; his brothers Dave Black of Billings, MT, Buck Peterson of White Bird, ID, and Robert Blurton Jr., of Boise ID; and his grandchildren Ryan Carroll and Cole and Chande Blurton of Neenah, WI.A Funeral Mass for Dennis will be celebrated 9 a.m. Monday July 19 at St. Bernards Catholic Church.
