Adeline Wolf

Adeline (Yellow) Spotted Wolf, 93, passed away April 11, 2010 at St. Vincents Healthcare. She was born November 6, 1916 in Wakpala, South Dakota and attended school at Flaudreah Indian School, graduating in Lauten, Oklahoma in 1940 as a Registered Nurse. She worked in Fort Alushain, Idaho and Lame Deer, Montana. In 1944 she was married to Clarence “Bisco” Spotted Wolf.She worked for St. Labre Indian Mission from 1957 1999 until she was unable to work any longer. Since then, she lived with her daughter Jean Spotted Wolf Emmons from 1998 2010. Adelines great-grandchildren were very close to her and they spent a lot of precious time with her, especially during her last months.Adeline is survived by her husband, Chief Clarence “Bisco” Spotted Wolf of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe and is a Chief of the Northern Cheyenne Council of 44; her daughter, Jean Spotted Wolf (Larry) Emmons, Marlyss Gordan, sons Michael and C.J., Candy Spotted Wolf (Lex), daughter Ollie, and sons Laurence and Patrick, all of Billings, Clarence (Michelle) Stewart of Ashland, Montana; Adelines adopted daughter, Pamela Spotted Wolf of Fallen, Nevada and her daughter, Audrea (Moises) DeLeon and sons Christian and Orlando, and Pamelas only son, Matthew Feliz of Fallen, Nevada; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.A memorial service and potluck reception will be held along the Yellowstone River, Sunday, April 17th, 2:00 p.m. at 1926 Mullowney Lane, #45.
