Nice to have you "home!" I have a POW/MIA bracelet that I got in 1972 at Camp Lejune NC while my husband was in the Marines. It is for Maj. James McGarvey who has never yet been found. This story of First Lieutenant Magers gives hope that our Government is still looking for all of our lost heroes from the Vietnam era. God Bless you all and your families. I will be standing somewhere on the Funeral route to honor you - Lieutenant and all other fallen comrades from any era. Thank you all for your service from my heart to yours!!

To Marla and her family, as a teenager, and your best friend at the time, I couldn't imagine what your family was going through, to this day I would think of your brother (son) when I would hear of Vietnam, words can not express how happy I was to hear that you have Paul back on homeland after all these years. He sounds like an amazing young hero. I remember thinking how strong your mom was. My thoughts and prayers to your family.

My name is Terry Abel, I'm a pilot for United Airlines and I had the honor of flying UAL Flt 42 HNL to DEN with Lt Paul Magers. I was a pilot in the Air Force from 1989 to 1998 and flew KC-10s in the Gulf War. When I learned last night the story of Lt. Magers finally returning home after 39 yrs I was deeply touched that I could play a part in his journey. My heart goes out to Paul's mother and his family. "All are at peace and celebrate his coming home." is something I will carry with me for the rest of my life - I thank you for the chance to be part of Lt. Magers trip home. Respecfully, Terry Abel

I am so happy that my close friend from Regis College is back home. I so remember his loss in 1971 and the memorial service in the Regis Chapel in September, 1971. Claudia and I wish we could be in attendance Friday. God Speed and our thoughts are with each of you.
