Rebecca Harry

Rebecca “Becky” Sue (Howard) Harry, age 77, of Boyd, MT, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on May 12, 2025, at St. John’s United long term care facility, in Billings, MT.

Becky was born August 30, 1947, to Leslie “Jim” and Ruth (Soper) Howard in Lusk, WY and was raised as the youngest of three girls on a small farm in Harrison, NE. She graduated from Sioux County High School in Harrison then attended Chadron State College where she met her husband, Danny “Dan” Harry. The two were married on August 12, 1967. As a child, Becky delighted in the company of any animal she could get her hands on. As a teenager, she enjoyed volleyball and band but was most often found cheerleading. After she and Dan got married, they lived in a few locations before moving to Casper, WY where they became parents to their daughter, Shannon. Soon after, they found their way to Billings, MT, where their two sons, Zach and Aaron, were born.

In the summer of 1987 Becky and Dan ventured back out into rural life and moved to Joliet, MT, where their kids attended and graduated from Joliet High School. Becky always welcomed her children’s friends as her own and often had a house full of teenagers and somehow managed to keep her house spotless. As her children became adults, she welcomed a daughter-in-law, Tisha, via Aaron; grandchildren Whitney (Ian) and Becca; and four great grandchildren, Elliot, Davis, Charlene, and Hollis. Becky developed many lifelong friendships while raising her children and was well known for her gardening, decorating, baking goodies, and crafting skills, as well as her mastery in hosting gatherings. She poured her heart and soul into being a mom where she enjoyed attending her children’s school events, volunteering where she could, and even spent time as a Den Mother for her sons’ Cub Scouts troop. Becky also had a love for all animals, especially dogs, which she passed down to her children.

Becky is preceded in death by her mom and dad, husband Dan, daughter Shannon, oldest son Zach, and her oldest sister Patricia Webster. She is survived by her sister Molly (Butch) Bonner, her son Aaron (Tisha) Harry, granddaughters Whitney (Ian) Hafner and Becca Harry, four great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, June 6 at Joliet Wesleyan Church in Joliet, MT, with burial immediately following at the Joliet cemetery. Memorials can be sent to Joliet Wesleyan Church, 402 West Carbon Ave, Joliet MT, 59041.
