I've known Katie since I was 3 years old. Not only did we grow up together, but we both went to NDSU and met our life-long friends. I also lived in Billings for many years. I'm sorry I couldn't be there today. I would have loved to share the 100s of stories I have about her. I can't belive she gone, but relieved to know she is finally at peace and no more pain. I will always love you.

As Barb (Church) Lupo’s younger sister, I always admired and looked up to Katie. She was larger than life, and one of the reasons I have a daughter named Kate. Katie’s comic re-telling of some of the events in her life I will remember forever. One of my favorite Katie-isms is her saying that she “shook her boyfriend’s hand and kissed her horse goodnight.”

Our beautiful Cuz , KT I would give anything to for just one more phone call, usually at least an hour where we talked about anything and everything! I missed her last call. You’re in my heart, KT. 💜
