Obituary

Corinne G. Fisher passed away this past July 5th. She was born on October 7, 1930. She married Robert Fisher in 1950, and they were together nearly 65 years before his passing in 2014. Corinne loved being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

There are not enough words in the English language to describe the loss that we feel as we try to write this. To have lived 94 years and witnessed the world change is a story in and of itself, and Corinne could tell you a few of them. A life fully lived doesn’t tell you enough about this amazing woman, so let us tell you.

For over 20 years, Corinne worked at Hart Albins in Downtown Billings doing their bookkeeping. Her time with the department store came to an end when the store officially had to close its doors due to the changing scenery of downtown. She could tell you a thing or two about how our city of Billings has transformed and “grown up” with her.

Not too many people can tell you firsthand stories of our very own famous “Moss Mansion” family. She could! Corinne took music classes from Melville Moss and spent a lot of time in that grand house and among the family. Listening to her stories transported you to a time long gone. She was truly a keeper of history, living among us in 2025.

Corinne was a dedicated and familiar presence at the original Andrews Hallmark in Rimrock Mall, where she worked until retirement. Her kindness, wit, and warmth made her a beloved figure among coworkers and customers alike. It was there that she earned her affectionate nickname, “Mrs. Fish,” a name that stuck and spoke to the gentle humor and charm that defined her. Corinne developed a special habit of turning over every greeting card received to see if it was a Hallmark. She took their slogan, “When you care enough to send the very best,” seriously.

Corinne was able to live independently, largely thanks to her son-in-law, Richard Rose and his daily visits.

Although seemingly quiet, she was a strong-willed woman who lived by the morals and values she grew up with. She and Bob (Robert) raised 3 children. Son; Vance (deceased) Daughters; Debra and Valerie.

Always proud of her family, she truly enjoyed hearing from her 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Per Corinnes' instructions, she was cremated and wished to have no services. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
