Carlos Sanchez

Carlos Christopher Sanchez passed away unexpectedly on July 17,2025. Carlos was born on August 10, 1977, to Raul Sanchez and Rosie Ludwig in Billings, MT. Growing up, he wanted to be just like his dad and was always ready to go fishing, shoot pool, watch his dad race stockcars, and practice his karate skills. There were always big gatherings with a lot of family and friends. Carlos went by his best-known nicknames like Taco and Los but most important were son, dad, grandpa, brother, cousin and friend.

From a young age he was a gifted artist, always drawing the most amazing pictures. In 1999 he graduated from Trapper Creek Job Corps in Darby, MT as a welder and with his GED. He developed a love for welding and was extremely talented in his craft. His artistic talent converted over to welding, and he could literally make anything out of metal. Cooking also became his passion. He cooked for multiple restaurants throughout the years, and before his passing was working on opening his own food truck to share his amazing food with as many people as he could.

In 2000 Carlos and his wife Rebekah welcomed their first child, Carlos Ysmael Sanchez and then in 2002 their daughter, Salicia Sanchez, was added to the family. If you ever met him, his kids were his pride and joy.

Carlos is preceded in death by his father Raul, grandparents Ysmael; Librada, sister Misty and brother Raul Anthony. He is survived by his children, Carlos, Salicia, Talia, Cruz, grandchildren Aurora, Alexandra, Zayne, step-mom Pam, mother Rosie, siblings Gabrielle (Geo), Gina (Travus), Rick (Tina), Laurie (John), Tina (Mike), Chris, and Paula.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30am on Sunday October 5th, 2025 at Riverfront Park (bring your own chairs).
