Callie Robertson

October 15, 1986 - July 21, 2025

Obituary

Our beautiful daughter Callie passed away on Monday July 21, 2025 in Billings, MT. She was taken from us so very suddenly. She was born in Bozeman, MT October 16, 1986 to Kristi Ann and Tracy Allen Robertson. Callie lived and loved life for every bit of her 38 years.

In 1991, we moved to Malta, MT and soon were a family of four with sister Kenzie Leigh. There she attended Malta Elementary and cheered for the Dodson Coyote basketball teams. In 1993 we moved to Hardin, MT where her brother Tanner Scott was born in 1995 and where she attended the Hardin School District until her graduation in 2005.

While in Hardin she played softball, basketball and volleyball during her elementary and middle school years. As a Freshman at HHS her interests turned to high school volleyball and tennis. How proud we were that in her senior year she played in the State Championship Volleyball game and in the spring won a Divisional Singles Championship to go on to State. She completed her senior year as a member of the Academic Honors Society as she was an extremely intelligent lady. While in Hardin she worked as a lifeguard at the Hardin Community Pool, an employee at Dairy Queen, a waitress at Puts’ Restaurant, a camp counselor at Camp Bethel near our favorite campsite at “Sibley Lake” near Dayton, WY., as a Job Coach at BHI and as a CNA in Billings, MT.

She also enjoyed the many times she worked alongside her mom designing beautiful flower planters in the Big Horn Industries Greenhouse. Yet she never lost interest in baseball and became a lifelong New York Yankee fan in 1996 and her favorite player was of course, “The Captain, Derek Jeter”. She watched Yankee games on TV, on her phone and she was so thrilled and in awe as in 2014 when we took her to a Yankee game in New York City “the Bronx” (where that day the team honored some of the past great Yankees) and another one in Denver. She had Yankee hats, T-Shirts, jackets, books and various other memorabilia. Yankee everything. She just loved them. In 2014, the love of her life, Carter Trace, was born and they became as close as a mom and son could be. She loved and cherished Carter each and every single day for the next ten glorious years. Also during that time Callie was enrolled at Montana State University and at MSU Billings graduating with a BS degree in Human Services in 2022. Soon after, that same year, she became employed with the A.W.A.R.E. Corporation as a Case Manager in their Youth Services Program. She loved helping the young children at several elementary and middle schools throughout the Billings School District. Once employed she found her wonderful apartment in Billings that she turned into a home for her and Carter. She was very proud of her new home and we loved when we got the chance to visit them there.

Cal’s special interests were painting, crafting jewelry for loved ones and friends, photography, snowboarding, playing the piano and the flute. Her favorite TV shows were Seinfeld and Friends. Her favorite movie/book was “To Kill A Mocking Bird”. Callie loved her job, camping, fishing on the dock for rainbow, our many family times playing golf at the Fort Custer G.C., her big, rugged, silver Jeep Grand Cherokee and of course decorating her apartment with her unique style and humor. Every T-Shirt and sweatshirt she wore expressed her “colorful” thoughts and feelings about life. But most of all she loved life, her great friends, her family and loved being an Auntie to Marley and Jupiter.

She gave so much of herself. Callie was a very caring, loving and generous lady. Her gifts to others were so amazing. You could always tell that she put a lot of thought into them. Cal will always and forever have a special place in our hearts. She will be greatly missed by all. She loved us all so deeply as we all loved her. We will miss her many, many big hugs and she never left without saying “Love you”.

Preceded in death by Great Grandma Jeanette Burns, Grandparents Helen Wiseman, Lawrence and Marie Robertson, Great Aunts Joan Burns, Roberta Rose, Aunt and Uncle Pete and Denise Touhy, and Aunt Karen Salerno. And her cats Yoda and Jeter.

Surviving Relatives Tracy and Kristi Robertson, Son Carter Trace Robertson, Sister Kenzie Leigh (Ken) Belgarde, Brother Tanner Scott Robertson, Nieces Marley Brattan and Jupiter Belgarde, Great Aunt Loretta Burns and many other cousins and relatives.
