Samantha Marie (Webb) Cermak died unexpectedly on Sunday, July 28th at her home in Billings, Montana. She was born at 11:04 pm on Saturday, May 21, 1977 exactly six minutes after her twin sister Cam. She was born to Michelle (Shelly) Ann Weber and James Webb. The twins made their entrance into the world 7 weeks early and were very small at 3 lb 4 ounces and 3 lb 5 ounces. Samantha finally came home from the hospital on her original due date of July 9th. Samantha attended many schools in Iowa until after the 10th grade when the family moved to Red Lodge in 1993. She attended Red Lodge High School for her junior and senior year, graduating in 1995. After graduation, she attended 1 year of college at Northwestern Community College in Powell Wyoming. She then decided to leave school and take an adventure, moving to Atlanta, Georgia for two years. She moved back to Montana, bringing her then fiancé Jeff Cermak in 1998. Her beloved son, William James Cermak was born September 11th, 2001. He was Sam's miracle on a national day of sadness. Her precious daughter, Kaitlyn Michelle Cermak was born on April 21st, 2006. Samantha met the love of her life, Ralph Ramsey, a little more than a year ago. They were planning a wedding for later this fall. Samantha is survived by her son, William; daughter, Kaitlyn; mother, Shelly VanWey; and sisters, Cam (Kurt) and Linnette (Gerard) both of Billings, MT. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, whom she truly cherished, Alexa, Ava, Mayson, Thomas and Jackson; many aunts, uncles and several cousins; as well as her grandmother, Darlene Webb. Samantha was preceded in death by her father, James Webb; stepfather, Cecil VanWey; grandparents, James and Barbara Weber and Dewayne Webb; uncles, Robert Duvall, Robert Pecora and Robert Walters. She fought her entire life to survive, starting with prematurity. She suffered from many physical ailments and multiple psychological problems. She was a friend to everyone and always wanted to help in any way she could. Her giving spirit and bubbly personality will be missed by so many. For memorials, the family has asked that you simply….PAY IT FORWARD AND BE KIND! A celebration of Samantha's life will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday at Mary Queen of Peace, formerly Little Flower.

Ya know, despite it all, you were one of my dearest of friends Sam. 24 years of friendship is a long time! Your kids are my kids and your family is my family. I always thought and deeply hoped we could sit down together and overcome our differences over the last few years, but now I can only hope you see and can understand what's in my heart. This was so completely sudden and just too damn soon for you. Both Becky and I love you and miss you so very much. There's both a special and an empty place in our hearts for you. 😔💔

God has placed Sam in His loving presence, brighter than any earthly light that can be imagined. She is in the hands of the Divine, no better place exists. Yet the sorrow she leaves behind is so deep, the hole in the lives of her family and friends, so wide , that our hearts break for you.
