Joyce Ahlgren

Joyce Karen Ahlgren (née McClanahan), 75, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2025, in Billings, Montana.

 Born on November 24, 1949, in Lewistown, Montana, Joyce was the daughter of parents Kenneth and Phyliss who preceded her in death. She was also predeceased by her siblings: Lloyd, Rick, Donna, and Floyd.

 Joyce earned her bachelor’s degree from Montana State University, demonstrating a commitment to education. Joyce is survived by her three children: Kristi Voegele (late husband David), Scott Ahlgren (Amanda), and Keith Ahlgren (Wendy). She also took great pride as the grandmother to Ashley, Megan, Seth, Maddy, Parker, Bailey, Hunter, Keeley, Lacey, Lexie, and Jaydie. Joyce also found great joy in the arrival of her great-granddaughter, Collins. She is also survived by brothers Bob and Earl McClanahan, and sister Linda McClanahan. 

 Joyce enjoyed crafting and sewing, often creating handmade items that reflected her care and attention to detail. She also found satisfaction in working on puzzles, a pastime that resulted in creating over a 1000 or more perplexed mysteries over the last 20 years. Joyce was an devoted Green Bay Packers fan. 

 A private gathering will be held with her family at a later date. One of Joyce's wishes was to be laid to rest near her mother at Philbrook Cemetery.
