Cyrus Hartman

Cyrus Kian Hartman, lovingly known by his family as “Sweet Potato”, was born on August 10, 2025, to his parents Jerrad Hartman and Nicolette “Nikki” Casino. Cyrus was a miracle baby, and while he didn’t get much time with us here on Earth, he had a massive impact on all who met him. He passed away November 2, 2025.

Cyrus was a true warrior. During Nikki’s pregnancy, there were many difficulties, leading to a placental abruption requiring a c-section which nearly killed them both, however, by a miracle, Nikki was able to deliver him naturally and safely. He spent 9 days at the NICU, where he quickly rebounded, impressing many of the nurses who worked in his unit. The staff there adored him, impressed by his resilience and awed by his beauty. He learned how to eat and breathe all by himself in those 9 days at the NICU; he was a fighter.

Cyrus was one of a kind, he was the type of baby you will always remember. Many people considered him the most beautiful baby they had ever seen! Cyrus was such a happy baby with adorable animated facial expressions, brightening up any room with his little grin. He loved to be held and snuggled, and adored his siblings, especially his older sister Serena, who could make Cyrus giggle just by looking at him. He loved listening to Nikki sing their favorite song “You Are My Sunshine”. He was so incredibly loved by his parents and his adoring siblings: Zoey, Serena, Addie, and Kingston.

2 months will never be enough time spent with such a wonderful person, but he will always be remembered by the love and joy that he spread.  What a blessing it was to have Cyrus in our lives, even for just a little while.

Loved ones preceding Cyrus in death on his maternal side are Grandpa Alan, Grandma Colette, his two uncles Jermaine and Jeramiah, his great Grandma and Grandpa, as well as a great uncle. His paternal side, Cyrus joins in Heaven his Grandpa Doug, Great Grandpa David, Great Grandma Kathy, and Great Aunt Carrie.

Cyrus is survived by his loving family: Mother Nikki, Father Jerrad, sisters Zoey, Serena, Addie, and brother Kingston. Grandma Vikkie, Grandma Elizabeth, Grandma Nicole, and Grandpa Kevin. Aunt Aneshia & Uncle Chris. Uncle Nick & Aunt Anna, as well as his cousins Olivia, Natalia, and Joshua.

Memorial Service will be held at Dahl Funeral Chapel on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 11:00 am. Please join the family in honoring the life of Cyrus Kian Hartman.
