Obituary

The life of Rosie Annabelle Frickle, affectionately known as “RoRo” and “Oma”, began on May 4th, 1952 in Karlsruhe, Germany. Rosie was the life, anchor and heartbeat of her small and devoted family, all of whom intend to carry on her love for family, holidays, and home cooked meals in her memory.

Rosie was the most warm and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, and had a way of making everyone feel special. She was a caregiver her whole life - taking care of her mother, husband, children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews throughout their lives. Rosie was the most content with whatever she had, and never needed extravagance. Her happiest moments were the holidays and just having the presence of her family by her side. The favorite memories of all who knew her were her Christmases. Even though she moved to the United States in 1965, Rosie forever carried her love of German culture, food and holiday traditions, and shared them with everyone she knew.

On May 28th, 1988, Rosie married the love of her life and favorite fishing and dancing partner, Steve Frickle. They exchanged vows in a small church service where they melded their lives and large extended families. Rosie and Steve shared a spirit-filled relationship with their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and their faith anchored their marriage. While Rosie took care of her husband during their shared life, it was Steve who stood by her side and cared for her 24/7 in her final months. Her family extends a special note of gratitude to the hospice nurses who provided exceptional care and love to Rosie during this time.

Rosie’s two children, Mike Frickle and Amanda Lockridge (Nick), were the light of her life. But her grandchildren, Joey and Briana, had her heart. Rosie’s favorite title was “Oma” and she doted on her grandchildren. Her children and grandchildren will carry her love, devotion and playful spirit with them all the days of their lives.

Rosie shared a close relationship with her mother, Ingeborg Hart, her father, Keith Morgan, stepmother Ethel Morgan, mother-in-law Gloria Frickle, and father-in-law Wally Frickle, all of whom preceded her in death. Rosie is survived by her six siblings, Harald Hart (Jane), Kenny Hart (Kathy), Trudy Wahl (Jeff), Helen Hart, Mitch Hart (Kelia), and Cindy Christiansen (TR). In addition to her biological family, Rosie shared a special relationship with her married family, and is remembered by her husband’s sisters, Teri Curtiss (Ron) and Gloria Adams, his sister-in-law, Sandra Schiavon, by Steve’s large extended family, and by her many nieces and nephews who loved their Aunt RoRo. Rosie is preceded in death by her brother, Butch Morgan, brothers-in-law Jim Frickle, Bob Frickle, and Grant Adams, and her nephew, Jay Hart.

Family and friends are invited to join in a celebration of Rosie’s life on Saturday, December 6th, 2025 at 10 AM at Dahl’s Funeral Chapel.
