Eric Charles

Our "Free Spirit" was born March 26, 1974 (41) in Billings, MT. Eric fought a "courageous battle with cancer" into eternal life on August 16, 2015. This soul was full of wittiness and kept everyone laughing, not knowing what he was going to say next. Eric is survived by his parents, Roy and Josie Baxter; brothers, Kevin Charles, Nathan Baxter, Roy Baxter, Jr and Shane Baxter; his 'rock' and beloved wife, Krista "Rose" Charles, who to the end had an unwavering love for him, she supported and cared for him until the end; his children, "his pride and joy's", Gabe Charles, Rueben Charles, Tavia Charles, Linze Rivera, Kelsey McChesney and Taya Wichman (the word step-children was not in his vocabulary, he loved them like his own); his Mother-in-law, Renee McFarren; sister-in laws, April Charles, Tracy Ostwalt and Shuanna McFarren; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews (Ashley Charles, Hunter Charles, Hollie Charles, Alexis Charles, Paige Charles, Trevor McFarren). Most importantly, we would like to express gratitude to all his caregivers and Tavia (almost 6 years old who took great care of Daddy) along with Gabe and Linze and countless family members who have stopped by to give support. We can't thank Eric's 2nd MOM, Gloria Trevizo, enough for the countless hours of caring and trips to the hospital; if there was ever a "SAINT" she deserves the title. We would also like to give a special mention to Margie Triplett for all your support. Rose would like to give special thanks to Uncle Ben and Mike Charles (aka: brother) whom he loved like brothers. To all of the family your love and support meant so much. Eric was preceded in death by his grandparents, Antonio and Margarita Charles; Uncle Rudy Charles; cousin, San Juan Charles (aka brother); and father-in-law, Floyd McFarren. A PRIVATE FAMILY celebration and viewing of Eric's life will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Dahl Funeral Chapel with interment to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. The family has requested donations be made to Dahl Funeral Chapel to help cover funeral costs.
