Seth Hauge

Obituary

Seth Donald Hauge, age 44, passed away unexpectedly on December 2, 2025, due to an unforeseen medical condition and was surrounded by the love of his family. His departure was peaceful, and in true Seth fashion, he left this world wrapped in the same warmth and devotion he had always given to others.

Born on December 28, 1980, in Columbus, Montana, Seth grew up in the tight knit community that shaped his generous spirit and lifelong friendships. After graduating from Columbus High School in 1999, he attended MSU Billings College of Technology and later Colorado State University, where he earned a drafting degree.

Seth proudly operated KM Detailing for nine years before joining WMK, where he has worked for the past eleven years. His dedication, work ethic, and natural problem-solving abilities made him deeply respected by his colleagues.

Being a dad was Seth’s greatest joy. Haydn and Harlo were the center of his world, and he showed his love for them in every way he knew how. Whether playing a competitive game of pool, sifting through trading cards, settling in for a good movie, or sharing the countless small moments that made their bond special, he created memories that will stay with them forever.

Seth had a way of making ordinary moments unforgettable. He loved watching football and sports, especially cheering on his Denver Broncos. He enjoyed the thrill of bingo, and he treasured time spent with friends who became extensions of his family. He had an easy-going charm that made people feel comfortable and welcome, and his unmatched talent for dickering was well known by those around him. His generosity was one of his defining traits. If you were someone he cared about, he would give you the shirt off his back without hesitation. Seth loved hard, especially when it came to his friends and the people he cared deeply about, and those who were loved by him always knew it.

His hugs were unforgettable, his friendships were loyal, and his giving spirit touched everyone fortunate enough to know him. Seth did not hold grudges or keep score.

He believed life was meant to be lived fully, often reminding others, “You only live once, so have fun.”

Seth is survived by his beloved partner, Sandra Kelley of Billings, Montana; his children, Haydn and Harlo Hauge, both of Billings; his father Larry Hauge (Tracey) of White Sulphur Springs, Montana; his brother Trent Hauge (Marissa) and nephew Knox of Columbus, Montana; along with countless friends who loved him as family.

He joins his mother, Gayle Hauge, in eternal rest.

A private burial will be held for immediate family. A public Celebration of Life will be held at the Civic Center in Columbus on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. All who loved him are invited to gather, share stories, and honor the remarkable person he was and the impact he had on their lives.

When my family moved to Columbus, Seth was the first to make me feel truly welcome. From the stickball HR derby in the tennis courts, to football games in the park, to 2v2 basketball tournaments in his driveway, I will cherish the memories and the time spent. I miss you buddy! ... Erin
