Obituary
It is with deep sadness we share the passing of Kris Buehring. Kris passed away peacefully on March 18th in Billings MT with her sister Taryn by her side. Kris was born on January 24th, 1949, in Glasgow MT. As a young child she moved with her parents to Columbia Falls, where she spent most of her childhood and graduated as a Columbia Falls Wildcat cheerleader in 1967. Kris went on to attend Eastern Montana College in Billings where she met her husband, Rex Buehring.
She loved being a Mom and spent most of her time at home caring and cooking for Jason, Justin, and Josh along with the rest of the neighborhood kids that were always at the house playing and eating snacks and many meals.
She loved taking her boys to all of their sporting events and conversing with all the other parents. She was always eating her dinner at the stove so that everyone would get to their activities on time and made sure there was not “one wrinkle” or stain on any of her kids’ clothes or uniforms.
She loved being around other people. When all the boys were in school, she decided to go to work. Kris worked at Gainan’s Floral and then went to work at American Business Machines as an office administrator. Kris’s favorite place to work was demonstrating food at Costco where she could see lots of people, talk and feed them without having to cook. Kris battled M.S. most of her adult life and eventually could no longer work.
She'll be remembered by her eagerness to help others, always, even while in the nursing home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mel and Janice Lane of Columbia Falls and her baby brother Douglas Dean.
She leaves behind her three sons and grandchildren. Jason of Billings (Kailey and Jordan), Justin of Seattle (Tristan and Cody), and Joshua of Coeur d’Alene(Jessie). She is also survived by her sister Taryn (husband Terry) Smith of Kalispell, MT.
We'd like to give a huge thank you to Kris's BFF's, Marsha Nelson and Jo Groscop...they were long time friends and were with her until the very end, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
Kris will be laid to rest next to her parents this summer in Kalispell during a family service. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all that knew her throughout her life, WE LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU!!.
