Alex "Dick" Zier

Dick was one of the founding members of the Central Montana Foundation. This is the oldest established foundation in Montana and continues to provide funding to projects in the Cental Montana area. The picture I posted is the foundations 50th anniversary celebration that took place a few years ago. Dick’s community spirit will be missed.

Lucy and I became good friends with Dick and Chris when he was in Miles City many moons ago. My first contact was probably at the bowling alley. He was an excellent bowler and very competitive. We were also social friends for several years until he moved on in his career. Good community worker, sort of a prankster. RIP old friend. Doug and Lucy Benge

Bobcat pickup truck came in handy as Dick invited the president of MSU to ride in it at homecoming parade as snowstorm pleated the parade. And the president was most grateful.

I had the honor of working with Dick at First Citizens Bank in Billings. He loved to pull pranks! I remember him always laughing and smiling. My sympathies to his family. He will be missed.
