Obituary
Elijah Thomas Brown, 28, of Billings, Montana, passed away on April 3, 2026, at his home surrounded by his family.
Elijah was born on April 25, 1997, in Billings, Montana, to Amy Gopperton and Lenny Brown.
He grew up in Huntley and attended Huntley Project High School, where he discovered his love for music and found joy in performing through speech and drama.
Elijah had a bigger-than-life personality and an energy that filled any room he entered—you always knew when he was there. He loved hiking, spending time with his dogs, and being with family, especially when it involved a little friendly competition. One of his favorite victories was beating his sister in a gingerbread contest, a moment he proudly celebrated. Elijah had a kind and giving heart and was always willing to help others. He also had a deep love for music and could often be found listening to it.
Elijah was a dedicated worker who recently began a position at Costco. Over the years, he also worked as a bartender and server at various restaurants in Billings. In his free time, he enjoyed working in the yard and staying active.
He is survived by his parents, Amy Gopperton (Dan) and Lenny Brown (Lynette); his brother, Dakota; his sister, Bailey; and his step-siblings, Katy, Ryan, Freddie, Dallas, David, and Bella.
He is also survived by his grandparents, Tom and Jane Logan, and Barb and Carl Hagemeister; his aunts, Jill (Colin), Sarah (Ben), Kate (Kevin), Kelly (Derek), Linzy (Mike), and Lori; and his cousins, Brenna, Rylie, Chance, Hope, Hunter, and Zoey, along with many extended family members and friends whose lives will forever be changed by knowing him.
A memorial service will be held at Harvest Church on April 14 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to attend, share memories, and celebrate Elijah’s life. Elijah will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
