Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Wayne Lee, who passed away on April 4, 2026, at the age of 55 just two days before his birthday on April 6, 1970.
David also known as “Big Dave” spent some of his life doing siding on homes, taking pride in helping build and improve the places where families live and grow. He was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and the care he put into every job. In later years, due to issues with his knees, he was no longer able to continue working the way he once did, but he remained proud of the work he had done.
David found his greatest joy in being with his family and friends. He loved telling stories, sharing memories, and bringing people together with his warmth and humor. David had the heart and warmth of a teddy bear. He always checked in on family and friends making sure everyone was okay. He loved his family and being around friends.
David also had a deep love for the outdoors. Whether he was fishing or simply sitting in his Jeep by the riverside, he found peace and comfort in natures beauty. David was also a big Bronco’s fan. He loved when football season came around. He wouldn’t miss a game. He even went to a Broncos game in Denver and of course his team won.
Faith was an important part of David’s life. He believed in God and often encouraged those closest to him to keep God in their hearts and stay strong in their faith. Those words will continue to live on.
David is survived by his parents, Dennis Lee and Connie Glidden; three half sisters, Kristi (Jimmy) Barnett, Angela Gryttenholm, Kelly Gryttenholm, and one half brother, Shane Lee. He is also survived by his children: Daughters Rachell Lee (Jeremy Rowe), Katie Graham, Kayla Graham, and Courtney (Jonah) Hayes; And Sons Josh Record (Madeliene Haderly) and Travis Lee. He leaves behind many beloved grandchildren, nieces, nephews, Uncles, Aunts, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Shannon Lee; his grandparents Bennie and Alice Lee; Robert Glidden and Delores Bestland.
David will be remembered for his jokes, laughter, his loving and protective nature, and the way he made everyone laugh and have a good time. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Chapel of Hope in Lockwood on May 12 at 3:00 PM. Condolences and cards may be shared at that time.
