Obituary

Colton Taylor DeHass (“Colties”) of Billings, Montana, passed away unexpectedly on April 26, 2026, at the age of 31.

Colton was a kind, respectful, and thoughtful young man who left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He was a dedicated worker and took pride in doing his job well as a forklift and yard worker. Known for his politeness and steady nature, Colton carried himself with quiet strength and integrity. Outside of work, Colton enjoyed fishing, cooking and working with his hands. He had a natural ability as a handyman and took satisfaction in fixing things and helping others. He also had a passion for swords, guns, and Xbox gaming. He was especially proud of his Ford F-150 pickup.

He will be remembered most for his kind heart, his willingness to help, and the quiet way he showed up for the people he loved. His presence brought comfort, and his loss leaves a space that cannot be filled. He was deeply loved and will be forever missed by his family, friends, coworkers and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Doug and Pauline Hubman, grandpa Wesley DeHass, and uncles Tracy and Jeffrey Hubman.

Colton is survived by his parents Toni Hubman and Darren DeHass, his dog Roxi, his sister Nanette, grandmother Carol DeHass of Ohio, cousins; Cody Hubman, Samuel Hubman, and Alex Cox, cousins in Minnesota, South Dakota, Ohio and Florida, Julie Glutting and family, and Timmi-Lynn Poglagen.

I’ve been cutting Colton’s hair for many years. I always enjoyed seeing him. I took great pride in his work at Shiptons and always would light up when he seen you at work and wanted to help however he could. Great guy gone way too soon.
