Obituary
Joseph Allan Seward, 59, of Billings, Montana, passed away at his home on July 3, 2026.
Joe was born on June 12, 1967, in Billings, Montana, to Allan and Ruth (Ley) Seward, both now deceased. He was the only child from their marriage, and he joined the family with Ruth's previous four children: Paulette (Larry) Schoessler, Valerie (Ken) Frisch, Laurie (Steve) Monson, and Randy (Teresa) Seward. He also had four other half siblings on his father's side: Mark (Maxine) Seward, Cinda Culzean, Alana Coleman, and Ryan (Karin) Seward, now deceased.
Joe spent most of his life in Billings. He worked various jobs over the years, but was probably best known as a chef and cook in a number of restaurants in the Billings area. He married three times. With his first wife, Jennifer (LaVe), he had daughter Alexandra (Kelly) Murdock. With his second wife, Traci (Bird), he had sons Taylor (Cady) Seward and Mason Seward and daughter Joci Seward. With his third wife, Eve (Decker), he truly became "Dad" again to his stepchildren Sunnilyn and Fox, who only had him for 10 years, but were so blessed that Joe stepped up for Eve and her family to be the Dad they needed and loved. He was also loved by older stepdaughter Analisa (Daniel, deceased) Decker. He had six grandchildren: Isabel (Harley) Lott, Ilayni Murdock, Isla Murdock, Declan Seward, Harper Seward, and Finnegan Seward; three step-grandchildren: Jade Murdock, Jesse Murdock, and Alex Cunnington; and one great-grandson: Everest Lott. He also had numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins that he dearly loved.
Joe loved cooking, boating, the ocean, traveling, art, drawing, music, his dogs King and Prince, gaming and GTA, YouTube videos, the Pittsburgh Steelers, history, and learning new things, especially when it came to theories about the world. He will be remembered for his amazing sense of humor and intense deep love for God, his children, and his family. He had a larger-than-life, one-of-a-kind personality that could light up any room, and he will be deeply missed by all who loved him.
