Rene had a passion for all things antique and possessed an incredible eye for discovering unique treasures and beautiful décor. She found joy in turning ordinary things into something special and loved surrounding herself with pieces that told a story.
Some of her happiest memories were made while living in Corpus Christi, Texas, where she could often be found walking the beaches for hours, collecting seashells. The beach was her peaceful place a place where she felt closest to nature and could simply enjoy life’s simple beauty.
A gifted Southern cook, Rene expressed her love through food. Family and friends knew that a meal prepared by her was something truly special. Her kitchen was filled with warmth, laughter, and unforgettable home-cooked meals that brought people together.
She also had a deep love for gardening and took great pride in her flowers, finding joy in watching them bloom and brighten the world around her.

Rene’s greatest gift, however, was her personality. She had a caring heart, a wonderful sense of humor, and an unforgettable laugh that could brighten anyone’s day. She had a way of making people feel welcomed, loved, and appreciated. Her kindness extended beyond people she never met an animal she didn’t love. Every furry friend she encountered seemed to find a place in her heart.
Above all, Rene cherished her family. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her children, Sunnie Flores (Ben) of San Marcos, Texas; Trey Morgan of Fort Wayne, Indiana; and Rachael Pawlowski (Logan) of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
