Timothy Sanner

Timothy “Tim” Sanner passed away in his home in Billings on July 27, 2026. He was preceded by his parents and four siblings: James “Jimmy” Sanner, Madia Morast, Eddie Ray Sanner, and Finis Sanner. He is survived by his brother, Jerry Sanner, his children, Amber (Marcus) Boyer, Emily Sanner, Jordan (Olin) Harriger, Sydney (Matthew) Miller, and Tyler Sanner, and six grandchildren.

Tim was the youngest child born to Ray and Edna Sanner on August 8, 1958, in Billings. He graduated from Senior High School in 1976 and passed just shy of his 50-year high school reunion.

As a teen, he started working in his parents’ cafe, The Hungry Bear, and continued to work hard up to the time of his passing, most recently, for the small business he lovingly named Baby Bear Lawn Care.

A social butterfly, Tim could go nowhere in Billings without running into friends. His work ethic was matched only by his generosity. Throughout his life, he shoveled snow and mowed lawns for neighbors in need without being asked or expecting anything in return.

Tim loved to go fishing and dancing with friends. He was often working on projects around his home and caring for his garden. He was active in his community and will be dearly missed by countless friends and neighbors.

Above all, Tim was a present and loving father. As a single father raising five children, he devoted his life to providing for and supporting his kids. A talented salesman and ambitious entrepreneur, Tim took risks and many jobs to make ends meet. He was no stranger to

hardship and loss, but he never let this prevent him from showing up for his children when they needed him. Tim was known for his honesty and humor. His laughter could brighten any room and live on in the hearts of all those who knew him.
