William Hein

Jr., 84, passed away unexpectedly at his home on September 9, 2026. He was born December 6, 1941, to the late Harry and Kate Hein and was a graduate of Billings Central Catholic High School.

Bill had a long and varied career, including selling used cars, owning two gas stations, and working for 25 years as an ironworker. He was fortunate to retire at the age of 59.

Bill was married to the love of his life, Donna McArty, for 55 years before her passing in 2020. He was also preceded in death by his son, Sam Hein, in 2023 and previously his two sisters.

Bill was a man of strong Catholic faith who loved his family dearly and cherished the time he spent with them. He also enjoyed many good times on the golf course with all his buddies.

Bill was ready to go home to his Lord and will be deeply missed by his children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many family and friends.

A funeral Mass and burial will be held at St. Pius X Parish on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to LaVie or St. Vincent de Paul.
