Elizabeth Coffman

Elizabeth (Liz) Sullivan Coffman passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on March 16, 2018 at the age of 65. Liz was born in Belvidere, IL on November 23,1952 to David and Melanie Sullivan. The family moved to Bozeman, MT where Liz and her brother, Bill Sullivan, grew up and went to school. Liz married the love of her life, Dennis Coffman, on October 28, 1979 and had two children Ryan and Nick Coffman. Liz and Dennis enjoyed spending time together driving through Yellowstone National Park and boating in the summertime. Liz had a love of gardening and spent the summers tending to their beautiful yard that was filled with an abundance of colorful flowers; her favorite flower was the yellow rose. Liz also had a love of shopping and would take up any opportunity to go on a trip to the store whether that be to go shopping with her nieces and children when they were younger or shopping for her grandchildren in most recent years. Liz had a love for animals and could never turn away a stray dog or cat, especially when Ryan brought them home. Some cherished memories involved cheering Nick on during football games and spending time with family on Christmas. Liz graduated from Bozeman Senior High in 1971 and went on to attend Bozeman Vo-Tech. During that period of time she met and began dating her future husband, Dennis. Their courtship involved Liz coming over with school work to Dennis' apartment and attempting to study. Liz continued her education after beginning a family and received her Associate's degree in gerontology psychology from MSU-Billings. Liz is survived by her husband Dennis, son Ryan (Jessica), son Nick, brother Bill Sullivan, nieces Lindsay and Leann (Sam), granddaughter Jade, and grandson Trystan. The family would like to especially thank the team of medical personnel at Billings Clinic Intensive Care Unit for the wonderful care given to Liz and support given to the family. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 pm Friday, April 20, 2018 at Dahl Funeral Chapel. Burial of ashes will be in the Three Forks Cemetery at a later date.
