I don't think I realized you were an only child.... Your mom always made me smile :) My mom died in 1995... Will be 20 years at Christmas :( I hope you can find some comfort in the fact that she knew your boys, and loved being in their lives!!! Love and prayer to you... One day at a time! The memories I have of my best friend since 4th grade will forever be with me. I can't even imagine the number of people she has helped as they also left the earthly world and have greated her as she left her loving family. I wonder if her mom has a large bottle of RC Cola in heaven.

I was so saddened to hear about Chris' passing this morning. I was lucky enough to work with Chris at two different hospice organizations. As with most nurses, I'm sure Chris was never really aware of the lives she touched. I can attest that her compassion, humor and knowledge brought much comfort to her patients and their loved ones. Wishing the same peace and love to her family and friends that she helped provide for so many people along the way. Rest peacefully, my friend.

Chris ("Tina" to us) and her sister Pat were the BEST babysitters for our large family in Pierre in the mid-late 60's. Not many were brave enough to take on 8 boys and a girl (more boys came later). We still talk about how fun it was when one or both of them babysat for us. My sympathies to Pat, Mike & Susan and the rest of Chris's family. Heaven has gained a special lady.
