Obituary
Margaret Alice Colman passed away peacefully in her home March 24, 2016. She was born June 30, 1937 in Sheridan, WY to Clarence and Helen (Laier) Colman. She graduated from Sheridan High School in 1955 and moved to Billings shortly thereafter. In Billings she was active in the Rainmakers motorcycle club and met, and later married, David Kidd and together they had 4 children. She worked for many years for the Billings Gazette where she made many lifetime friends. She was a loving person with close relationships to her children, nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved animals of all kinds and was an excellent horsewoman. She was an avid gardener and canned the food she grew. She loved to read and wrote poetry and short stories. She sketched and painted her way through life. She was known for her sense of humor and hearty, infectious laugh. She was preceded in death by her son, Stephen Kidd, her brothers, Wilbur, Fred, Kenneth and Earl Colman, her sisters, Ruth Colman, Lois Colman, Marie (Colman) Wallace and her parents Helen (Laier) Colman and Clarence Colman. She is survived by her sister Evelyn (Colman) Straight, her children, Kathleen (Kidd) Yapuncich, Patrick Kidd and Gene Kidd, 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She wished to be cremated and her life celebrated with family and close friends. Public services will not be offered.
