Chris Comesup

Chris Nolan Comesup, 61, of Pryor passed away in Billings, MT on October 17, 2013. He was born in Pryor, MT to James and Marlene Comesup in 1951 on Christmas Day. He grew up in Pryor and was a 1970 graduate of Edgar High School and went on to earn his Bachelor of Arts Degree in 2000 from Eastern Montana College. Chris enjoyed raising horses, hunting, oil painting and ceramics. Chris was preceded in death by his father; stepfather, Rudolph Comesup; and great-grandson, Maverick. He is survived by his mother, Marlene; wife, Barbara; daughter, Dora (Dewayne) Costa; sons, Archie Jefferson and Conrad (Marla) Stands; sisters, Jamie (late Henry) BullChief, Rosalind Comesup, Lena (JD) BullChief and Connie (Dean) BullShows; adopted brother and sister Larry and Gwen PlainBull; and 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. The family would like to express a special thanks to Dr. Spire, the St. Vincent staff, Tony of DCI, Hospice and Ron Pierce. Service: Viewing will be at Dahl Funeral Chapel on Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at Plenty Coups High School in Pryor.
