Alice Cooper

Alice Anna Cooper went to be with the Lord peacefully at her home in St. Johns Lutheran Ministries on March 8, 2011. She was born in Alliance, Nebraska on March 29, 1938 to Ellard and Beulah Cooper. With her father being an engineer with Burlington Northern, Alice loved traveling by train. She was an outstanding student and excelled in choir and science. Alice went on to college in Nebraska graduating in 1960 with a degree in Medical Technology. After graduation she went to Oregon to visit family, and on her way home she traveled east through Montana and got a job with Deaconess Hospital. Alice went to work in the lab on the night shift, later becoming the night shift supervisor. Alice saw lots of changes over the years, not only the merge with Billings Clinic but also the growth in technology as well. She learned to roll with the punches, taking several training classes on new equipment and advancing her computer skills. Alice retired after thirty years of service to Billings Clinic. After retirement Alice did some traveling and had many adventures with her best friend Bert. Alice was preceded in death by her parents and older brother Bruce. She is survived by two nephews and two nieces, and many good friends at St. Johns. She is also survived by two very special friends, Roberta Chute and Bonnie Benson, who will miss her greatly. Thanks to all those who took care of Alice over the last two years; she loved you all very much. A special thanks to Tina, Sheryl, Chad, Tammy, Jennifer and Misty, for not only being her caregivers but also her family. Service: Per Alices wishes, no services are planned.
