Verena Costa

Verena Costa, 69, of Billings, formerly of Lodge Grass, went home to be with her Lord Savior on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 in Billings. She was born March 4, 1950 in Crow Agency, a daughter of Benedict and Nancy (Bird) Jefferson. She grew up and attended school in Lodge Grass. Verena retired from the branch of Social Services in the Bureau of Indian Affairs in May of 2013. Verena's previous work history included working with the Crow Tribe in Crow Agency, Little Big Horn Bank in Hardin, and the InCare Network in Billings. Verena married Larry Costa January 10, 1968 In Sheridan, WY. She is a member of Billings Freedom Church. Her husband Larry, daughter Darlene Costa, parents Ben and Nancy, sister Delinda and brother Bernard Jefferson, Sr., aunt Zelda Stops, Judith Jefferson, Media, Vera and Anna Bird; uncles Richard and Fred Bird, Charlie, Calvin, Warren, Raymond, Wesley and Lester Jefferson, Jr., Sammy Hoops preceded Verena in death.
