Sandra Cowan

Sandi left us peacefully to be with her loved ones and our heavenly Father on Tuesday, February 21, 2017. Sandi grew up with her family in Chinook Montana. Her parents George and Edith Cowan had four children; James, Marion, Ted and Sandra. In 1958 Sandi began her 17-year marriage to James Teter and together they started a family. Their four children Greg, Marla, Jami and Danita have given them 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren of whom Sandi was very proud and loved very much. Sandi impressed the importance of being a lifelong learner both academically and spiritually to her family and to those she met. She worked as a hairdresser as a young woman and then trained to be a Licensed Practical Nurse to later bring many new babies into the world as a celebrated labor and delivery Registered Nurse. Sharing God's love and salvation was a big part of her life so it stands to reason her decision to attend Oral Roberts University later in life to pursue Christian Counseling studies during her 15+ years living in Tulsa, Oklahoma with her daughter Danita. It was important to her to return to her beloved home state of Montana where she spent her last 6 years. "Mom" will be greatly missed but we are comforted knowing she is with her Mother and Father and family & friends who have gone before her. The mantle of faith passed down from her Mother to our family is a generational legacy that will continue as an eternal blessing.
