Delores Crane

Delores “Dee” Crane passed away September 21, 2019 in her home surrounded by her loving daughters. Dee was born Delores Patricia Lizotte January 1, 1933 in Red Lake Falls, MN. She married Jerry Louis Crane in 1952; they had 3 children while living in Minnesota and later added one more while living in North Dakota before eventually deciding to raise their family in Montana; where they added 2 more children to the family. Jerry passed away in 1971 leaving Dee to raise their 6 children in Billings, MT. Dee's favorite role was Grandma Dee to all she met. Her greatest joys in life were cooking, baking, and reading but mostly spending time with her family. Dee worked 20+ years for Billings Clinic Food Services. Upon retirement she began volunteering with the Foster Grandparent Program, being Grandma Dee to many young children. Dee was a hard worker and instilled her strong work ethic in her children. Those who knew Dee would not be surprised that she was once nicknamed “Spunk-a-saurus.” Dee is survived by her six children: Daryl Crane (Pam), Diana Crane (Gary), Michael Crane, Sherry McDonald (Mike), Brenda Reichenbach (Todd) and Lisa DeBuse (Bill), fourteen grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren. No services are planned at this time. Friends and family are encouraged to support St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Dee's favorite charity.
