Alejandro Cristan
November 02, 1935 - September 14, 2014
Obituary
Alejandro "Pops" Cristan joined the Lord on September 14, 2014. Pops was born November 2, 1935 in Corpus Christi, Texas, but moved to Montana in the mid 50's. He was preceded in death by his parents, Loreto Tristan and Eloisa Costilla Tristan; siblings, Crispin Cristan, Estevan Cristan and Carmen Morales. He is survived by his sisters, Antonia Villarreal, Estefana (Noel) Breland, Cornelia (Rene) Quintanilla, Rosa Cok and his brother, Reyes (Florinda) Cristan, all of Texas; sons, Jeff (Arlene), Michael, Patrick; daughters, Rose (Johny) Starnes and Jennifer (Dean) Kottke; 10 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Describing Alejandro is a tall task because words do not give his actions justice. He was a very simple man, who enjoyed the simple things in life. In fact, he is probably looking down on us shaking his head because we are causing "Too much Hoopla". His passions were drinking coffee, John Wayne movies, anything with a Chevy emblem on it and, you can't forget, Harley Davidson. When speaking about Alejandro one word repeatedly came up, family. His house was always open to you if you needed help, whether it was borrowing a car, or just a friendly chat. Alejandro was blessed with 5 children, loved and missed his sisters more than anything. If you had the pleasure of meeting Alejandro he definitely brightened your life in one way or another. On Sunday September 14, 2014, my siblings and I lost a father, our children lost a grandfather, and their children lost a great-grandfather. His mind and his eyes are clear, and he can walk with his head held high, in the arms of those that left before him. We will miss you----DADDY. A Memorial Service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 27 at Dahl Funeral Chapel.

I really enjoyed Pops. We were his neighbors for many years on Rhea and remained friends even after we moved. He always had a friendly wave and kind words to say when we'd see each other. Whenever my sons had any mechanical issue they were always working out some deal with Pops. Jeremy would just pay him to fix it, while Josh opted to work right along side Pops to see how it was done. My husband, Ron, would hire Pops for anything to do with vehicles before he'd go to anyone else. Pops knew his stuff! My youngest son, Ken liked to visit with Pops, too. He was too young for the mechanic work, but he liked to talk with him & Pops would always make time. Pops had a heart of gold and a twinkle in his eye. He was full of knowledge, and told many stories of days gone by but was still able to stay tuned with the changing world. You are quite a man, Pops and I feel very thankful to have known you. Until we meet again.... Your old friend & neighbor, Val Free
