Evelyn Daem

Evelyn Esther (Kuntz) Daem, age 84, of Billings, Montana passed away at St. Vincent's Hospital on February 26, 2019. Evelyn was born on January 27, 1935 in Lacrosse, Wisconsin. Evelyn grew up in Custer, Montana. Evelyn married the love of her life, Robert William Daem in 1954. The couple settled in Billings in the early 1960's, where they raised their four children; Robert, Ron, Chris and John. Evelyn was a dedicated and hard worker. She worked as a telephone operator for AT&T 38 years before retiring. Evelyn was a devoted and loving mother. She was very proud of her family and was excited to become a grandmother to her 16 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Evelyn loved holidays and family get-togethers; any chance to spend time with her family was important to her. She would spend hours wrapping presents. Evelyn was known for her compassion, strong faith and good sense of humor. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her. She was a member of the Carmelites. She is survived by sons Robert A. Daem, Ronald A Daem, Christopher R. Daem and John C. (Tracy Daem). Family and friends will gather for a rosary on Friday March 8th at 6:30 PM and Saturday morning at 10:30 AM both at Dahl Funeral Chapel, 10 Yellowstone Avenue.
