Mary, our beloved wife and mother, passed peacefully on March 25, 2017 at the Billings Clinic at the age of 73. She was born March 8, 1944 in Butte, Montana to Mabel and Lawrence McElroy. She attended Carroll College for a semester then Montana State University in Bozeman where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Home Economics. Mary met Bruce while attending Montana State University. They were married on June 11, 1966 at St. Patrick's Church in Butte, Montana. Mary was an active volunteer supporting her three children in academic and religious education, sports, and scouting. To the family and friends of Mary, I would like to express my deepest sympathy. I am truly sorry for the loss that your family is feeling. Whenever we lose such a caring and loving person, it is the hardest experience that any of us can go thru. And because of that, my thoughts and prayers are with your family. During this extremely difficult time, please turn to our God Jehovah for comfort and support. He promises to give your family the strength needed in order to endure this great lost. (2 Corinthians 1:3,4) (Rev. 21:4) Cherish all the wonderful memories that you have of your dear one. These precious memories will console the family in the days ahead. Sincerely S Willis

I am so thinking of you all and especially Bruce, who so faithfully and always with a smile came to exercise at St V outpt rehab with Mary Pat. I volunteer for the MS walk every year and I think of her first and foremost when it's ready to do this walk...as she walked a distance she hadn't been able to in a while- while at the walk! She encouraged me in my difficult challenges with chronic disease...she was an amazing lady! And Bruce- you are awesome! Please know I am praying for you and so thankful for you in my life! To Mary Pat's family I express deep condolences. MP was a friend of mine from Kindergarten at St. Pat's through eighth grade and was always the smartest girl in the class. She was a delight and laughed easily at my pranks, upsetting the nuns. In high school, we passed each other every day as she went to Girl's Central and I went on to Boy's Central and we tried to get each other to laugh every time. My last memory of her was at the Griz-Bobcat game with a couple other Central grads and it was a riot. I've often thought of her over the years. Her family must be remarkable just by being around her.

Dear Daughten Family, My condolences to you for the loss of your wife, mother, grandmother and certainly family matriarch. Knowing her most of my life I remember her as one of the finest, most pleasant people I have met. My visits with her and Bruce during visits to Billings always left me with a fullness of love and kindness that she and her husband exuded.. It ran deep with her that she remained positive and joyous in the face of her life long adversity. She was one of those people who I always

Bruce and Family, We extend to each of you our sympathy. It feels as if we have lost a member of our family. Where does one begin with so many cherished memories of Mary Pat. We remember so well the Daughton house in Casper-- Card games, laughter, St Patrick's parties, cold glasses of beer raised among good friends. No stranger to adversity was this lady yet she met it straightaway with grace and that ever present smile. I think we remember that the most. Bruce was always there for her and we admired that. A fine lady and Friend who will be missed. Donna and Don Whyde and Family
