Shirley Delao

Shirley Delao, 57, of Billings, passed away August 1, 2015. Shirley was born March 15, 1958 to Everett and Lydia Haworth in Billings, MT. She grew up in Billings and attended Orchard, Riverside and Senior High schools, graduating in Pullman, WA. Shirley moved back to Billings after graduation. She married Esequiel Guerrero, they had two daughters, Jessica and Donia Guerrero, the two later divorced. She eventually met and married the love of her life, Dondi Delao, in Billings on June 14, 1986 and became a full time homemaker. When her children were grown, she worked as a cashier at Soco, at the bakery in the State Avenue IGA and later, in 1999, she worked with Anita's Courier Service until 2007. Shirley also volunteered for the Little Builders Daycare. Her biggest wishes were fulfilled in a recent trip to Disneyland in which she took all her children and grandchildren. She was also able to attend her oldest grandson's graduation. Shirley loved the great outdoors, was into arts and crafts and enjoyed playing pool and bingo. She was an outgoing and friendly person and was always there for everyone. Shirley is survived by her husband, Dondi; father, Everett; daughters, Jessica (Jeremy) Guerrero, Donia (Maurice) Guerrero and Tabitha (Josh) Delao; grandchildren, Armando, Aaliyah, Miguel, Francesca, Selena, Javier, Zendaya, Adam, Mariah, Tenika, Taylie, Talyssa, Maurissa, Maurice, Dominque, Issiah, Jayce, Damien, Anjel, Kyrianna, Joshua, and Xavi; siblings, Donna Allen, Gary (Marcy) Haworth, Geri (Al) Allen, Bev (Rocky) Peterson; and many nieces and nephews. Shirley was preceded in death by her mother, grandson, Emilio and nephew, Roy. We would like to thank the caring staff at Riverstone Hospice and the many extended family, friends and neighbors who have visited and been a constant source of support and friendship. A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 5, at Dahl Funeral Chapel. Please contact Dahl Funeral Chapel if anyone wishes to help the family with donations.
