On April 7, 2010, Elaine Elizabeth Demaray of Park City was called home to be with her Lord Jesus. Elaine was born on March 30, 1928 to Emma and John Hooper in Baltimore, Maryland. Elaine was a talented singer and at the age of 7 won her first talent show. Her singing career started with a 7 year contract with the Sammy Kaye Orchestra under the stage name Carol Deering, and became known as “Your Sunday, Serenade Sweetheart”. She also sang on the radio, spoke in radio commercials, sang on local TV in Baltimore, and was a “weather girl”. In addition to her beautiful singing voice, the world was blessed with her poetry, award-winning column writing for the Laurel Outlook, newspaper reporting, the ability to make everyone laugh and her devotion to following Christ.Elaine married Edward Weisberg in 1948 and had two daughters, Diane Carol and Kathy Lynn. She became the proud grandmother of twin boys, David and Gregory, in 1969.On November 24, 1968, she married Gordon Demaray and in 1970 they moved to Billings, Montana with her daughter Kathy. Elaine witnessed the delivery of her next two grandchildren, Patrick and Jillian, and had a second granddaughter, Lauren, in 1992.Elaine was a cancer survivor and a victim of Alzheimers disease. She resided for the last several years under the loving care of the “angels” at Billings Health and Rehabs “Special Care” wing. She forgot many things: people, names, and faces, but her sense of humor remained and she NEVER forgot how to LOVE. Hugs and kisses were always available even until the end.Loving and missing her are her husband: Gordon of Park City; daughters: Diane (Sal) Greif of California, Kathy (Kevin) Brunsvold of Billings; a sister: Doris Geare of Cumming, Georgia; 3 grandsons, 2 granddaughters, 2 great-grandchildren, many family members and a lifetime of friends.“We love and miss youWell see you in Heaven at the reunion!”Visitation will be 10:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. Saturday at the Dahl Funeral Chapel.
