We remember your mother on her frequent visits to Dan and Kris’s home. She was always a quiet person who had a sweetness about her. You could tell how she loved her family and the time she spent with you. What we didn’t know about her was her accomplished life. She left quite a legacy to follow. We are glad we got to know her, even though the visits were brief. Much love and sympathy from our family to yours. Bob, Bonnie and Betsy Speare

Babe and Dick set a high standard for parents. Loving, supportive, and wonderful role models. The entire Demaray family can be proud of their parents, and of each other, for all they have done. Babe, as was written in the obituary, was committed to learning. She did all she could to promote and support others to go on to higher education, training, or self improvement. A testament to her and Dick's legacy are their children. .......... "Don't just learn, experience. Don't just read, absorb. Don't just change, transform. Don't just relate, advocate. Don't just promise, prove. Don't just criticize, encourage. Don't just think, ponder. Don't just take, give. Don't just see, feel. Don’t just dream, do. Don't just hear, listen. Don't just talk, act. Don't just tell, show. Don't just exist, live.” ― Roy T. Bennett, The Light in the Heart

Although I didn't know Lora well, I was impressed by her quiet, gentle presence whenever I had the opportunity to join the Demaray family at their gatherings. When she and Dick opened their home to me for family celebrations I always felt very welcomed by them. As I read Lora's obituary I was awestruck by the amazing accomplishments she achieved in her lifetime. It seems to me that she was truly a pioneer in a time when many women simply "accepted their lot" in a "man's world". God has welcomed a great woman home who left this world an amazing legacy in her family and the contributions she made here. My condolences to you all for your loss.
