Dorothy Desmul

Dorothy “Dotti” V. Desmul, 87, of Billings, died April 23, 2017 at Tendernest in Billings, Montana. She was born May 6, 1929 in Colorado, the daughter of John and Mae (Rice) Vandenberg. Dotti was born and lived in Colorado, until her mom & dad were transferred out west. She Ioved Colorado, but called Montana the best. She attended Billings Senior High & had so many friends, There wasn't any event that she wouldn't attend. High fashion was just a part of her day, Classy and elegant, she wouldn't have it any other way. From high school she took a job traveling our states miles, Imagine this 4'11” little cutie, she would get all of the smiles. She was self-sufficient & fiercely independent, Only for an occasional grocery run was she even dependent. A week from being 88, she tried to hang on, But she was called to heaven by Jesus her Savior, her dad, & her mom. Now reunited with family, friends, & her pets, The celebration has begun & it hasn't stopped yet. We'll miss our sweet Dotti, who was witty and smart. She's in heaven now and took a big piece OF OUR HEART! A blessing & thank you to the amazing & caring friends at Tendernest & her other family, friends & kind neighbors & those who were there for her spirted life's journey! A graveside service will be 11:00 am Friday, May 5, 2017 at Mountview Cemetery.
