Craig and Eric, that was such a nice tribute to your mother in the Helena paper today. She was such a neat lady, I admired her alot. Rest in peace dear Carol. Love, Merry Lou and Jack Casteel

We knew Keith and Carol in Helena, but more particularly at Bigfork Harbor. Keith was elected chair of our condo Board and he and Carol provided great leadership to the early foundation of our association. We became more acquainted with both of them in Helena as they worked the political system on behalf of Montanans. Carol was indeed a class act. Even when she was very ill twenty-five plus years ago, she was always upbeat and maintained a positive attitude about living. We also appreciated the support they gave to the University of Montana. We lost track of Carol when she moved to Billings, but we thought of her often as we read the political articles and learned more about the work they did in Helena and throughout Montana. The obituary in today's Independent Record details a woman who lived a wonderful life.

Our prayers to the Anderson family at this sad time. Carol was an outstanding lady in every respect. Gracious talented, intelligent, compassionate and beautiful are just a few adjectives to describe Carol. She was a few years ahead of me at Corvallis High where everyone held her in the highest regard because of her quiet modesty and inspiration, She and her parents were the "salt of the earth" in the Bitterroot Valley---all held in the highest esteem. Carol was a Ray Bjork School parent when Eric attended and I was the principal . She demonstrated much support and encouragement to her family. She leaves us with many great memories. She will be missed. Tom and Kathy Miller, Helena.

Eric and Craig and family, I was saddened to find Carol's obituary today. I have so many fond memories of your mother. She really was my mother, Vivian Paladin's, closest friend. Whenever things were tough, Carol was there to help ease the pain, and bring calm with that deep, soothing voice. I regret not coming back to Montana in the last few years. Carol would have been one of the people I would have made sure to visit. She and Bob Morgan. My mother's closest friends. Both lost to us in 2015. May your loss be eased with knowing how many people remember your mother and grandmother for the remarkable person that she was. With our deepest sympathies, Liz and Rupert Tobosa and family
