Obituary
Lillian “Lil” Dobitz passed away suddenly on August 15, 2019, at the age of 85, due to complications from an infection in her bloodstream. The world is truly at a loss now without this gentle, loving woman, wife, sister, mom, grandma, and dear friend among us. Everyone who was lucky enough to have been touched by Lily's presence and love is sincerely a better person. Gentle, caring, meticulously tidy, humorous, amicable, honest, and direct. The Lord hasn't created a more wonderful person. Her family was her passion. She made life-long friends, and with many activities, she was always on the go. Her interests included dancing, music, bowling, playing cards, Keno and Bingo. She was impeccable with her words, actions, and fashion. With Vern she owned and operated the Picture Court Motel for many years and ran a tight ship. Always supportive, never demeaning, and such a pleasure to be around. Her laugh was infectious, and she will be truly missed and kept in our hearts forever. Preceded in passing by her loving husband, Vernon J. Dobitz; her parents, Anton and Emilie Splichal; brothers Joe, Tony, William, Vince, Steve and George; sisters Mary and Dorothy. She is survived by her brother Jim; sisters Emma and Aggie; children Scott, Debi, Kelly and Danene; grandchildren, Conrad and Carly. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Services will be held at St. Pius X Church, 717 18th St. West, Billing, MT on Thursday, August 22 at 11:00 a.m., with a luncheon to follow. Your presence in mind, body, or spirit is appreciated. My name is Polly Eames, I had the pleasure of sharing Mass with Lil every Saturday evening at St Pius. I am so saddened to hear of her passing, as she always brightened my week. She was such a darling and I will miss her terribly. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with the family. I know is is being cared for by our loving Father. God Bless you all.

Aunt Lil had the most beautiful smile and beautiful presence. I only saw her a handful of times over the years, but they were memorable moments. Lil was like my second mom from the time I was four to thirteen. Lil was always such a kind, dear lady with a quick smile and the cutest little laugh. Even when we were in trouble, she still had that smile and laugh she couldn't help but show. So often she said, "what are you girls up to now", trying to be stern but had a smirk. She was the most lovable, sweet person! She took care of her four children with such love and kindness. She kept her cupboards full of yummy, kid food, which I though was so cool because we didn't have that at my home. Her cookie cupboard was the best. Every Thursday she went grocery shopping and came home with the best items for her family! Dobitz's always had the best game closet in their basement with all these organized, fun games that Lil made sure was provided for her family. Lil had the best home and I loved to spend my time at her home with her children because it was such a fun home. I remember many times going to Cooney with them and the fun we had. Many times I joined them for Sunday outings, weather it was riding donkeys, the big slide, going to see Santa, the list goes on and on the fun Lil let me join in on. Lil was always kind and fun. I honestly can not remember a time she was ever mad or even on edge. She was the most caring and great person! Lil always kept her home spotless and had great evening meals. Lil always had a smile, kind, tender way about her. Lil will always have a special place in my heart! My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this hard time. May all the fun memories come flooding back to you to help you through this. Lil will always be in your hearts and only a thought away. She loved you all very much!
