Alvin Donohoe

Alvin “West” Donohoe, 87, of Billings, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2013 at Valley Healthcare Center in Billings, Montana. He was born August 22, 1925 in Jordan, Montana, the son of Carter W. and Della (Sloan) Donohoe. On January 9, 1959 he was united in marriage to Frances Moore in Billings. West grew up in Jordan and Wyola, and moved to the ranch at Luther in December 1941. They moved to Billings in 2005. His community involvement included being on the Red Lodge High School Board, the Carbon County Farm Bureau, Montana Farm Bureau, a member of the Montana Stockgrowers, a 4-H leader and a supporter of the Republican Party. West is survived by his wife, Frances; daughter, Doris I. Donohoe; sons, Glen (Cheryl) Donohoe; Jess (Cindy) Donohoe; sister Irene (Bill) Hergett; sisters-in-law Rae Donohoe, Doris Persinger; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Clay and Paul Donohoe; sister-in-law, Mary Donohoe. Service: Funeral Service for West will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 25 at Luther Community Church.
