Claiborne Dugas

Tim passed away peacefully after a short battle with cancer on April 27, 2018, at the age of 60, with his loving wife by his side. Tim was a devoted husband to Julie Ann (Jackson) Dugas for what would have been 40 years this June – they spent nearly 43 wonderful and loving years together. Tim was born in Wichita, Kansas on July 24, 1957 to Claiborne Tim “Buck” Dugas and Patricia Mae (Blume) Dugas. He moved to Billings, Montana with his family in the fall of 1974 where he attended Senior High School. Shortly thereafter, during his senior year, he met Julie, and they have been one ever since. They were married in Tim's parents' back yard on June 3, 1978. They enjoyed doing all things together, floating the Stillwater River with friends, taking road trips, and sharing their favorite leftovers. Tim spent 30 years working as a heavy equipment mechanic for various companies; he loved turning wrenches, working hard, and all things Snap-on. He was blessed with two adoring children, Alexandra (31) and Maxim (27). He built a close family, one of respect and love. He cherished the time they all spent together. Most recently, Tim enjoyed keeping up on current events, and feeding the birds and squirrels in his backyard with his mother-in-law Marj, who shares their home. He spent the long winter, feeding these little critters pounds of sunflower seeds. With spring finally upon us, the special gift of a sunflower garden planted for his daughter's wedding this summer, has begun to bloom. Tim also loved spending time with his faithful, fury companion, Rina and buying bones for his “grand-puppy”, Chance. Tim was an honest and hardworking man. He was an amazing husband, father, and friend. A friend to all, he would do anything, for anyone. He had the kindest of hearts, the best sense of humor, and a smile and laugh that were infectious. He was a man that will be deeply missed by all those that were blessed to know him. He'll forever be with us in our memories and in our hearts! We thank him for his generosity, love, and friendship. Tim is survived by his wife, Julie; daughter, Alexandra (Heath); son, Maxim; his 7 brothers and sisters: Patty (Bob), Tom, Frank (Brenda), Mary (Sean), Leah, Renee (Martin), Julie (Mark); and his numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, mother, Pat; and father, Buck. A private memorial service for family and friends will be held in the coming weeks.
