Obituary
Thomas Patrick Dunn, 76, of Billings, MT passed away on Monday June 6, 2011 at Sapphire Cottages Valley Health Care after a brief battle following Open Heart Surgery. Pat was born in Frazee, Minnesota on Oct. 24, 1934. On Nov 24, 1952, he married Patricia Ann Nieland. They lived in Frazee until June 1965 when they ventured West with their six children to start a new life in Billings. Pat went to work as a driver for Garrett Freight Lines. He loved Montana for its fishing, hunting, and camping. He was an avid reader and enjoyed playing golf. Pat was a member of St Thomas Parish and enjoyed serving with the Knights of Columbus. He retired from Consolidated Freight Lines in 1995, which allowed “The Pats” to winter in Texas every year where his favorite pastime was shelling pecans to bring home for everyone to enjoy! Pat is survived by his wife, Pat, his daughters Kim (Jim) Cunningham of Billings, Cheryl (Tim) Fisher of Everett, WA, sons Jim (Connie) of Soldotna, AK, Steve (Kim) of Spokane WA, and Matt (Chris) of Billings. He is also survived by his sisters Ruthie (Gerry) Morrow of Apple Valley, MN, Kathy (Jack) Medcalf of Coon Rapids, MN, and Jerilyn (Lloyd) Beckman all of Frazee, MN. Pat so enjoyed all of his 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Susie Dunn, his brother Roger, and most recently his son, Tony. Service: Memorial Mass will be Friday, July 22nd at St. Thomas Parish, the time yet to be determined.

Pat, Knowing full well what you are going through at this time, I send my condolences. With our strong faith we can rest assured that Pat is with Jack and they can go fishing together in the waters of Heaven. That alone gives us peace and the power to go on in their absence. I was very sorry to hear of Mr Dunn passing away. I have great memories of growing up in the same neigborhood as the Dunns. I will always remember Mr Dunn as being a great father, truck driver, fisherman and hunter and a strong Catholic Christian.

Im am very sorry to hear of Pat's passing. It was always a treat to go with my parents to Pat and Pat's place in Frazee. My shared first name always made it interesting to figure out who was addressing whom. They were great times filled with fun and laughter. Sincere condolences. Pat Woodard
