Obituary
Alice Marlin Dutcher died peacefully at her home with family at her side on Friday, August 20, 2010. Alice was born in Alliance, Nebraska, the daughter of William and Nell (Hughes) Eberly. She graduated from Doane College in Crete, Nebraska.Alice was united in marriage to James Dutcher November 30, 1941 in Alliance. They moved to Billings in 1959. Jim passed away in 1992. Alice and Jim enjoyed raising their children in Billings, living in the Pioneer Park neighborhood and cherished their time at the cabin in Pony, MT. Alice was a devoted mother, taking an active role in her childrens many activities. Spending time in the mountains, camping, hiking and fishing with her family was very important. Red Lodge, Yellowstone Park and Glacier/Waterton Lakes were among her favorite place to go.She is survived by five wonderful children: Ann Dutcher of Billings, Joan (Dave) McGrail of Westport, CT, Bill (Sue) Dutcher of Billings, Lea (Pat) Kiely of Lewiston, ID, Jim(Beth)Dutcher of Gillette, WY; eight special grandchildren: Alice McGrail, Maggie, Max and Murphy Dutcher, Bill and Gretchen Kiely and Helen Jean and Michael Dutcher. She is also survived by her brother, Jerry (Marilyn) Eberly of Lincoln, Nebraska.Funeral Services for Alice will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at Dahl Funeral Chapel. Private family burial will be in the Pony Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Frank Michels and the staff at Rocky Mountain Hospice. Memorials may be made in her name to Rocky Mountain Hospice, 2110 Overland Ave, Billings 59102; Yellowstone River Parks Association P.O. Box 1201, Billings, 59103the charity of ones choice. David and I would like to express our deepest sympathies to you. We remember Alice as a very beautiful woman and she enjoyed kids so much. Lea I will never forget her as long as I live as she thought it was the neatest thing that David wanted to take you to dinner and lunch every once in a while. She was very proud of her children and had every right to be.
